spring and winter along the creek

It is spring along the creek with new growth everywhere; but it is not spring for her life but rather winter. She reflects on what has been and wonders over what is yet to come.

I decided to do a digital painting from photographs that gave me the idea of this winter to spring concept but where the photograph didn't say what I wanted. The digital painting above is not what I was feeling along the creek specifically but rather the place I am in life-- and after a week-end with the family where spring and youth were so strong, I saw my cycle of life in contrast. Not so much today but tomorrow.
