Painting with Light

I began experimenting with painting on the computer using a mouse as brush with the program Corel Photo-Paint 7. The process feels like painting with light. I understand technically I am not using light but rather a series of codes which I never see, but it feels like light-- as though someone handed me a rainbow and said-- here play with whichever colors you like. The luminosity cannot be duplicated probably any other way.

Having done self-portraits, I wanted to play with painting other subjects. Some of these were inspired by photographs, a fleeting memory, perhaps even another lifetime, some pure imagination, but all changed and interpreted until they were my vision.

There is something about painting with light that tends to make you see light differently-- or at least it has for me. It's not bad for imagination either...
