Self portraits

Eleven self-portraits, done with Corel Photo Paint on the computer from early June to early July 2006. Self-portraits are not necessarily intended to be exact likenesses but more to capture a feeling of a part of who the person is. It is like painting a part of one's soul. Not easy when you start doing it even if you normally paint or draw because here you are reaching inside to try to decide what aspects of yourself are important enough to be shown. Will you show the ugly side along with the beautiful? Each one is part of a whole.#1
