Reworking old paintings

Offering to the Ancients seemed to be finished a couple of years ago but I kept being bothered by the sky. I finally decided it would be stronger with a stormy sky.

I am having a hard time getting my photographs to capture what the painting shows. A new challenge. This one has more of a grayish sky than the camera seems to indicate.

Canyon Madonna was a second attempt, originally painted in the mid 90s, to do a woman in a meditative pose. She is inspired by the many petroglyphs I have seen across the West and always wonder not only who painted them but what they were intended to represent. Mystery
