Woman and Gulls

When I began painting this subject with the computer, I had no idea where it would go as is often also the case when I begin them on the canvas. I have a concept inside, but since most of what I paint are imaginary subjects, the end result is not definite until I work with it for awhile. In this case, I wanted the woman to wear a black dress. I had no idea that in the end, it'd be that she was one with the gulls.

Many artists repeatedly paint the same subject, but I rarely have done more than one of the same thing. Painting on the computer provides me with that luxury without building up a ton of canvases in the attc. I might eventually paint this one with oils on canvas.
