Offering to the Ancients

Across the West in many places there are pictures etched or painted on the rocks-- petroglyphs or pictographs, we call them.

Their meaning is debated by the people whose ancestors doubtless created them; but whatever they are, this site, out of Tucson, Arizona, had flowers blooming beneath the symbols, and it seemed very much like a bouquet for or from the past.
